Story County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Area has a 16-member board .   The local board includes citizens, elected officials, parents, and representatives of education, health, human services, faith, and business. 

The Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Board typcially meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Subcommittees are occasionally used to perform activities on behalf of the Board.
